Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management School Fees [Updated 2025/2026]

Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management (IBUAM) in Lagos is one of Nigeria’s newest private universities. It was licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2024 and focuses on aviation, aeronautical engineering, transport management, and related professional fields. Many prospective students and parents are searching for the IBUAM school fees because the institution positions itself as a specialised school with modern facilities and industry connections. This article gives the current fee structure for the 2025/2026 academic session based on official university announcements and the student portal as of December 2025.

IBUAM is still in its early years, so the university keeps fees structured and transparent. Undergraduate tuition ranges from ₦1,200,000 to ₦2,800,000 per session, depending on the programme. The fees are higher than most state universities, but competitive when compared with other private institutions offering aviation and engineering courses. All amounts are payable in two instalments (60% first semester, 40% second semester) without extra penalties if paid on time.

Hostel accommodation is optional but highly recommended because the campus is in a developing area.

  • On-campus hostel fee: ₦180,000 – ₦350,000 per session (2–4 students per room, modern fittings, Wi-Fi included).
  • Acceptance fee (freshers only): ₦80,000 – ₦150,000 (non-refundable, programme-dependent).

  • Feeding (if you eat at the cafeteria): ₦150,000 – ₦250,000 per session.

A fresh student in Aeronautical Engineering who stays in a semi-executive hostel can expect a total first-year cost of approximately ₦2,800,000 – ₦3,400,000 (including tuition, acceptance, hostel, and basic living expenses). Off-campus living in Mowe or nearby areas adds ₦300,000–₦600,000 per year for rent and transport.

How to Pay School Fees at IBUAM

The university uses a fully online payment system through Remita. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the student portal at portal.ibuam.edu.ng and log in with your JAMB registration number (freshers) or matric number (returning students).
  2. Generate your invoice under the “Pay Fees” section. This produces a unique RRR code.
  3. Pay the exact amount at any commercial bank branch (UBA, Zenith, GTBank, etc.) or online via Remita using a debit card.
  4. Upload the payment receipt to the portal for verification (usually approved within 24–48 hours).
  5. Collect your clearance stamp from the bursary office to complete registration.

Installment payments are allowed in two phases (60% first semester, 40% second semester) without extra charges if paid on schedule. Late registration attracts a penalty of ₦20,000 – ₦50,000.

Why IBUAM Fees Are Considered Worth It

At ₦1,200,000 – ₦2,800,000 per session, IBUAM offers specialised training in aviation, aeronautics, and management that is hard to find elsewhere in Nigeria. The university has partnerships with aviation authorities, airlines, and maintenance organisations for internships and job placements. Graduates in Aeronautical Engineering and Aviation Management often secure employment with local and international carriers, maintenance firms, and regulatory bodies. The campus is modern, secure, and designed for focused study.

If you are planning to join IBUAM in 2026, pay your fees early to avoid penalties and secure a hostel space. The university is growing fast, so early applicants have better chances of getting preferred courses and accommodation.
