Current Hostel Accommodation Fees at ADUN

ADUN charges between ₦120,000 and ₦350,000 per academic session for hostel accommodation. The price depends on the hostel category, room type, and whether you want air-conditioning or extra amenities. Here is the current breakdown:

  • Standard rooms (4–6 students per room, shared bathroom and kitchen): ₦120,000 – ₦160,000 per session
  • Semi-executive rooms (2–4 students per room, better fittings and fewer occupants): ₦180,000 – ₦250,000 per session
  • Executive rooms (2 students per room, air-conditioned, private bathroom, wardrobe, study desk): ₦280,000 – ₦350,000 per session

These fees cover the full academic year (two semesters). Fresh students pay the same rate as returning students. The university does not allow semester-by-semester hostel payment. You must settle the full amount after clearance.

How to Apply for ADUN Hostel Accommodation – Step by Step

The process is completely online and strictly first-come, first-served. Spaces in the executive and semi-executive categories are limited and disappear very quickly. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the student portal at portal.adelekeuniversity.edu.ng using your JAMB registration number (freshers) or matric number (returning students).
  2. Complete your course registration and pay all compulsory school fees first. The hostel application becomes available only after full fee clearance.
  3. Navigate to the “Hostel Allocation” or “Accommodation Booking” section.
  4. Choose your preferred hostel category (standard, semi-executive, or executive).
  5. Generate the payment invoice (RRR code) and pay the exact amount displayed.
  6. You can pay at any commercial bank branch or online through Remita using a debit card.
  7. Upload the payment receipt to the portal immediately after the transaction.
  8. Wait for confirmation (usually 24–72 hours). Once approved, print your hostel allocation slip from the portal.

Bed spaces are allocated strictly according to payment timestamp. If you delay, you may end up in a lower-preference room or miss out completely. In that case, private hostels in Ede town charge between ₦80,000 and ₦200,000 per year.

  • Feeding (if you cook or buy food on campus): ₦100,000 – ₦180,000 per session

Total first-year estimate for a fresher who secures a semi-executive hostel: ₦350,000 – ₦500,000 (including school fees, hostel, acceptance, and basic living expenses).

Why Students Prefer On-Campus Accommodation at ADUN

The hostels are located very close to lecture theatres, the central library, and the university clinic. Security is better than most off-campus areas. There is usually steady electricity and water supply. The university provides shuttle buses between campuses and hostels, which saves transport money every day.

If you are planning to join ADUN in 2026, pay your school fees early and apply for the hostel as soon as clearance opens. Spaces disappear very quickly, especially in the executive category.
