Accredited Courses Offered at Adamawa State Polytechnic [Updated 2026

Adamawa State Polytechnic (ADSPOLY), Yola, is one of the oldest and most respected polytechnics in North-Eastern Nigeria. Established in 1979, the institution has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, industry-relevant education. For the 2026 academic session, Adamawa State Polytechnic offers 26 accredited National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes across four schools. All courses are fully approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). This updated list is based on the official polytechnic portal and NBTE records as of December 2025.

The polytechnic keeps fees very affordable for a state-owned institution. ND programmes cost between ₦35,000 and ₦55,000 per session, while HND programmes range from ₦45,000 to ₦65,000. Acceptance fee for fresh ND students is ₦15,000 (non-refundable).

Admission Requirements for 2026

You need a minimum JAMB UTME score of 100 to be eligible for screening. Competitive courses such as Computer Science, Accountancy, and Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology usually require 140 or higher. You must have five O’Level credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings. Direct entry admission is available for ND holders with Upper Credit or Merit in related fields. Post-UTME screening is compulsory for all applicants. The polytechnic normally conducts the screening in two batches, July/August and September/October.

Why Adamawa State Polytechnic Is a Practical Choice in 2026

ADSPOLY is relatively small compared to older polytechnics, which means smaller class sizes, easier access to lecturers, and less competition for practical training slots. The polytechnic has modern workshops, computer laboratories, and active industrial training linkages with companies in Yola, Jimeta, and neighbouring states. Graduates often find employment quickly in government agencies, manufacturing firms, banks, and private businesses. The calm environment in Yola also helps students concentrate on their studies.

If you are looking for a state polytechnic that is not overcrowded, has manageable fees, and emphasises technical and vocational training, Adamawa State Polytechnic is worth serious consideration. The admission process is transparent, and spaces are still available for most programmes in 2026.
