  • Akoka and Yabacampuses –  ₦43, 000:00
  • Idi-Araba Campus – ₦65,000:00
  • Sodeinde Hall – ₦135,000:00

How To Apply For UNILAG Accommodation Hostel

  1. Open your device browser and type or search for the UNILAG site.
  2. Enter your student information and click the login button.
  3. From the student dashboard, navigate to the right and click on HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION.
  4. Once it loads, follow the instructions and enter all of the information requested by the portal. Be cautious when entering your details to avoid problems later.
  5. Proceed to the payment stage. It is important to pay for your UNILAG hostel room as soon as possible. This can help you prevent the possibility of losing your reserved hostel place. When making an accommodation payment, utilize a bank ATM card, which is more convenient than selecting a remittance printout and then going to the bank.
  6. Once your money has been successfully processed, download the receipt or screenshot it to print later. Before proceeding with additional clearance at the institution, make sure you print it.

Things You Need to Know About UNILAG Hostel

Just like any other university hostel, the University of Lagos has its own set of rules for hostel accommodation that students must obey. The management creates these regulations to keep the hostel safe and tidy for both themselves and the students.

Parents must also use caution with their children, guiding and reminding them to remain calm and orderly while in the hostel. They want to see their children in good health, which is one of the reasons why management imposed some regulations for the dormitory.

The rules that govern the University of Lagos hostel are as follows:

  • While at the hostel, students must do their utmost to avoid or minimize the usage of high-power-consuming items that could present a hazard throughout the room or the entire hostel block. These appliances may include gas cookers/cylinders, irons, heaters, and so on.
  • Hostel walls must be clear of any painting or design. This means that students must be careful not to draw or write anything on the wallpapers in their rooms or hostel premises.
  • Visits to hostels of the other gender are strictly prohibited. This indicates that students should avoid attending hostels for the opposite gender. If necessary, they should stay a little outside the main hostel blocks.
  • Parents may occasionally pay their children a visit at the hostel. That is wonderful, but be in mind that security personnel may stop them, ask for ID, or even search them. Students should meet their parents outside and then take them to their respective blocks and rooms.
  • Students should always be mindful of their classmates’ actions. Avoid everything you don’t understand.
