The AKSU hostel accommodation fee is now accessible for both new and returning students, with a focus on fresh and final-year students. The administration of Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden prioritizes 100-level and final-year students over students in the 200-, 300-, and 400-level programs, if applicable. This is because it allows freshers to readily settle in and plan for a new part of their lives, as well as easy access to other new students, materials, tutorials, and lecture halls on a first-come, first-served basis. This is also the case with final year students, although it does not mean The Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden hostel accommodation is suitable for students. AKSU hostel lodging fees vary by hostel. I’ll put the hostel fees below, so you can decide if you want to use the school hostel or rent a room outside of the AKSU campus. Please be aware that hostel lodging at AKSU is not required. However, it is recommended that first-year students stay on campus for at least one year.

The hostel accommodation fee is between 53,000 and 73,000 Naira each student.
HOW TO APPLY FOR AKSU HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION
To apply for AKSU hostel accommodation fees, newly admitted students should follow the steps outlined below:
Step 1: To apply for AKSU hostel accommodation, go to https://www.portal.aksu.edu.ng/ and log in with your registration number and access code.
Step 2: Follow the instructions to make payment.
Step 3: Take your payment proof (online slip) to the student affairs division for documentation and hostel placement.
NOTE:
- Students who desire space in any of the designated halls should submit a payment sheet to student affairs.
- As hostel accommodation is limited, AKSU bed space will be allocated on a ‘FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS’.
